With Fourth of July just around the corner we thought we would give everyone a heads up about where to take the kids, watch the fireworks, and other fun activities going on in your area. Just like last year, the Marin County Fair will have a plethora of music artists as well as fine arts, crafts and photography. The sky brightening display of fireworks will start every night of the fair around 9:30pm. They are not to be missed. Although the fair is always a hotspot for the fourth, downtown Sausalito flourishes with fun things for everyone. The parade floats start their route at Main and 2nd st. @ ten am. With politicians, clowns, and acrobats in tow the journey concludes at a picnic in Dunphey Park. From noon on there is live music, dancing, games and…

Although some believe the real estate market is on the way up again, in Marin County it is hard to believe that it ever went anywhere. If you have browsed through our earlier posts you may see that $800,000 for a single-family home in Marin County is just below average asking price. It is much more common to see price points above the million dollar mark. Currently boasting a sellers market, Marin is a hot spot for cash buyers. Yet, as an article in the LA Times points out “sellers in the mid-to-upper price brackets are exuberant that we are finally out of the recession and are tempted to disregard agents’ more sobering recommendations on pricing.” This leads to what are now being referred to as “set-up” homes. These “set-ups” are overpriced homes used by…

Selling Your First Home?

Here is Something You should Definitely Read and Know Before Closing in Escrow!

Knowing your rights and what to expect will save you quite the headache when it comes time to close.

Public entities have a legitimate interest in helping to ensure that the local housing stock is well maintained and safe. One way some cities have chosen to accomplish this is by conducting a property inspection when property is sold (resale inspection) and providing a written report to the buyer prior to the close of escrow. The homeowner is charged a fee for this process. At the same time citizens have a right to expect transparency, consistency, and fairness from their elected government when inspections are required. A Resale report should…

408 Biscayne Drive San Rafael CA 94901

This is one home you are not going to want to miss! Located in the beautifully upscale Peacock Estates in San Rafael, this home has something for everyone. As the Narodny’s summer intern I was lucky enough to be introduced to this property today when Peter was opening up for the Broker’s Tour.

Driving up, this home has amazing curb appeal! The first thing you notice is the expansive front yard area. Little do you know that is just one minute advantage to this place. Walking into the foyer the gleam of the polished wood floors catches your eye, as do the formal living area’s towering windows.
