Novato real estate provides the widest range of properties available in the county. Some of the homes in Pacheco Valley are the nicest mansions in Marin while smaller homes in San Marin are among the most affordable properties in the county. Detailed information on different Novato communities can be found below:

Hamilton
Hamilton was originally an army airfield from 1935 to 1947 and it continued operations until 1975. It re-opened as a community of new homes in 1999. Here home buyers can find new construction and a variety of tract styles with easy access to the 101 freeway.

San Marin
San Marin comprises the northern parts of Novato with homes on the Petaluma River in Bahia starting as low as $300,000 and soaring into the 2+ million range for the large homes on 1+ acre lots. Every subdivision in this area is unique in feel and price. There are some communities tucked away just waiting to be found. San Marin is also home to the Buck Center for Aging.

Pacheco Valley
Nestled in a small valley, this area is at the southernmost exit for Novato and is hard to find. Award winning townhomes hug the hills as the road meanders back to some lovely, quiet streets with exquisite homes sharing this private space. A short hike to some lovely falls at the end of the falls adds to the allure. Prices for townhomes are in the $400-$700,000s, Single family homes start around a million.

Country Club
In Southern Novato, this community is dominated by the Golf Course and the stunning new clubhouse and pool and restaurant facilities. Rangy lots with pools surround the golf course. A mix of contemporary homes and one level ranch style homes are available. Most of the homes here are custom built and people stay for a long time, a testament to the lifestyle here. Some of the largest homes in Marin are nestled in these hills. Indian Valley College is here at the end of the road and many newer subdivisions built in the last 10 years dot the landscape. Prices are from$700,000-$3,000,000 for single family homes.
