In winter, the arks anchored in the lagoon. After 1900, the craze for arks waned. Today it is lined with unique and trendy shops, art galleries, high-end waterfront restaurants and casual cafes.

The groomed greenbelt along the walking path just off of Main Street and Ark Row offer unsurpassed views of San Francisco and Marin County, and is one of the most romantic spots in the entire Bay Area.
